On National Observance of Children's Sabbaths -- October 18-20

To the American Bahá’í community
Dear Bahá’í Friends,
One of the creative initiatives that
has emerged in our country, in response to the pressing need to nurture
the youngest members of society, is the National Observance of
Children’s Sabbaths. This annual event, designated this year for October 18–20,
provides an opportunity for Bahá’ís to join hands with Faith
communities across the country in activities of worship, education, and
service on behalf of children. This year’s observance, “Beating Swords

Race: The Power of an Illusion

This will be a 3 night event on "Race: The power of an
illusion". It is a 3 part documentary series which was produced by
California Newsreel. Each section runs just under an hour.
Therefore, I would like to book those nights from 7:00PM to 9:30PM.
The movie would show from 7:30 to 8:30 with discussion and

Progressive Revelation

By Progressive Revelation we mean that over the course of human existence, God has spoken to us many times in many different parts of the world.  In each such Revelation, God has spoken to us through a human Messenger, albeit one specially prepared to deliver the message.  Each of the Revelations provided the knowledge and spiritual energy that was needed for further human development at that time and place.

Devotions - 3rd Fridays

Luz is having a devotions program at her home on the third Friday of each month at 7:30 pm.  There will be prayers followed by home made deserts and discussion.  All are welcome.

Abdul Baha in America

In North America and in Europe people are talking about the centenary anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic this month. Baha'i communities are observing another centenary anniversary. Abdul-Baha, the son of the Founder of the Baha'i Faith (Baha'u'llah) traveled to Europe and North America 100 years ago.

Education Under Fire

The National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States has asked the American people to speak out on the religious persecution of the Baha'i Community in Iran, specifically on the policy (in place for over 30 years) banning Baha'i youth from access to higher education.  The letter below was sent to all Baha'i communities in the US.
