Birth of the Bab

Today  (October 31st), Baha'is in 188 countries worldwide celebrate the Birth of Siyyid Ali-Muhammad, the Herald of our Faith, whom we know as the Bab, a title that means both "Door" and "Gate" in Arabic. The first of the two Manifestations of God -- Prophets -- of our faith, the Bab was born in 1819 in Persia, today's Iran. The Baha'i writings state:
The appearance of the Bab resembles the dawn, for the dawn holds the promise of the sun. The dawn of the Bab promised the rising of the sun of truth that is to envelop the whole world.

Our community (Hillsboro) like to reserve the center for fundraising on Sunday April 30th, from 11am to 3pm
The plan is to sell Persian food (Aash).

Resources for Bicentenial of the Birth of Baha'u'llah

Our National Center has prepared a website with resources for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Baha'u'llah and the birth of the Bab.

Ruhi 5

A group of friends would like to use the Center on Thursdays in the morning from 10 to 12 to study Ruhi Book 5. We would like to know if the Center is available at that time and if we could use it in the coming weeks.

Reflection for NW Junior Youth Coordinators

We will need 2 of the 3 parts of the tri-room on August 24th and 25th for a reflection space for junior youth coordinators from all over Oregon and Washington. The times are 9am-9pm.
