Social Activitism

The overriding goal of the Baha'i Faith is unity - locally, regionally, globally. We work to improve conditions locally and world wide. We do not engage in partisan or divisive actions. Locally in Beaverton and world wide in all Baha'i communities we are engaged in four core activities.

Bahá'í Institute for Higher Education

The Bahá'í Institute for Higher Education (BIHE) was founded in 1987 in response to the Iranian government's continuing campaign to deny Iranian Bahá'ís access to higher education.   As its graduates excel in post graduate studies internationally, the BIHE's commitment to high academic standards, international collaboration, and an innovative teaching-learning environment is increasingly recognized.  The BIHE offers 32 university-level programs across 5 faculties and continues to develop an

The Baha'i Community initiates and organizes many neighborhood activities all over the world. The goals of these activities are to:

Sunday Morning Devotions at the Center

Room:  Devotions Room

Host:  Beaverton Baha'i Community

Interfaith Devotions at the Beaverton Baha'i Center are 9:30am every Sunday morning. Each multi-faith program features readings on a theme, musical interludes, and a period for personal prayer. Following refreshments there is an informal discussion of the Baha'i Faith and related topics.  Everyone is welcome.  Come when you can and meet us.

Progressive Revelation

By Progressive Revelation we mean that over the course of human existence, God has spoken to us many times in many different parts of the world.  In each such Revelation, God has spoken to us through a human Messenger, albeit one specially prepared to deliver the message.  Each of the Revelations provided the knowledge and spiritual energy that was needed for further human development at that time and place.
