Who is Baha’u’llah?

Throughout history God has sent Emissaries to guide humanity in its development; to bring moral and spiritual teachings to help human beings cooperate and advance. These Teachers have been revered throughout the ages: Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad.

Now, as humanity struggles to face challenges on a global scale, Baha’u’llah has come with fresh teachings that will “usher in that long-promised time when all humanity will live side by side.”

Light to the World

Born 200 years ago in Persia, Baha’u’llah, from an early age, exhibited extraordinary wisdom and a saintly character. Yet He was persecuted, exiled and imprisoned for 40 years. Despite all this, Baha’u’llah never wavered in His mission to deliver to humanity the means for building a truly global community in which all nations and peoples can live in peace. The video above, Light to the World, was created in 2017 for the Bicentenary of Baha’u’llah’s birth and describes the effect His Revelation has had on humanity.

This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future.

~ Baha’u’llah

Baha’u’llah wrote over 100 volumes of guidance:

  • Prayers to uplift the soul.
  • Principles, laws and moral teachings to free the human spirit.
  • Insights into humanity’s history and our winding path toward greater and greater unity.
  • Explanations of the true purpose of religion—to inspire, to transform, to unite, to foster peace and prosperity.

And He calls upon every individual to investigate the truth of His claims for him or herself.

In every nation on earth, people have become attracted to this message of Baha’u’llah and are striving to put these Teachings into practice—in their own lives and in their communities.

We invite you to join us in this effort to build a world of peace and justice.
